Overview Research Dr. Gelineau-Morel's research program is on precision therapeutics for children with acquired dystonia and cerebral palsy. Her program focuses on the development of prognostic and predictive biomarkers to facilitate early diagnosis and implementation of an effective, individualized intervention to maximize function and long-term outcomes. The neuroimaging arm investigates structural and functional MRI as a prognostic biomarker to identify infants at risk for the development of acquired dystonia. The clinical pharmacology arm investigates individual pharmacogenomic variability and impact on systemic exposure to trihexyphenidyl, a medication that targets the underlying pathophysiology of acquired dystonia.
