Overview Research Dr. Markham’s research focuses broadly on identifying high-priority areas of unnecessary utilization with the aim of optimizing the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of healthcare to all hospitalized children. Nationally, Dr. Markham serves on the Expert Workgroup for the Better Antibiotic Selection in Children (BASIC) project conducted through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Value in Inpatient Pediatrics (VIP) Network.
