He serves as Site PI for the CDC's Study to Explore Early Development and National Curriculum Initiative for Developmental Medicine, and for the MCHB/HRSA Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Research Network.

    Study to Explore Early Development
    Role Description: The Study to Explore Early Development (SEED) is a multi-year case-control study of youth with autism, other developmental disabilities, and population controls designed to identify causes/contributors of developmental differences as well as explore the developmental, behavioral and health outcomes of these cohorts and their families. In 2020 additional data related to the impact of COVID-19 was collected to investigate the differential impact of the pandemic on these cohorts.

    Mixed Methods Needs Assessment of Suicide Risk Identification In Youth on the Autism Spectrum: A DBPNet Study
    Role Description: This project proposes to leverage the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Research Network (DBPNet) to conduct a mixed-methods study to understand current suicide risk-identification practices for youth with ASD in the settings most likely to encounter high volumes of patients at elevated risk: developmental-behavioral pediatrics (DBP), psychology and psychiatry clinics affiliated with major academic medical centers.
