Dr. Ashli Lawson is a Texas native. She grew up in Austin and received her MD from UT Southwestern and she stayed to complete her ob-gyn residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital. She then moved to Kansas City where she trained at Children’s Mercy Kansas City in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. She has been faculty at CMH since 2021 and is the pediatric & adolescent gynecology fellowship director.
Dr. Lawson’s special interests include Mullerian anomalies (differences in the gynecologic anatomy), transitioning the medically complex patient, best surgical practices, gynecologic imaging, and medical education. She has presented at the national level on multidisciplinary care of teens with endometriosis and long-term management of neovaginas and she has authored textbook chapters on neonatal ovarian masses.
