Leveraging mHealth care model for pediatric enteral feeding tube weaning: CHAMP for the Feeder
Biography Overview The research team has 3 specific aims. The first is to determine how the use of a remote patient monitoring mHealth software platform impacts the success rate (%), time (weeks), and frequency of patients (n) for children that were able to get 100% of calories by mouth while maintaining age-appropriate growth, compared with those using only a standard outpatient interdisciplinary feeding tube using a tube weaning algorithm. The second is to evaluate the experience of the parents and healthcare teams with implementation of a remote patient monitoring mHealth software platform compared with prior care models. The last is to determine the effectiveness of a remote patient monitoring mHealth software platform on patient contact with the IDC feeding team for infants and children who have met defined medical goals.
