He has also developed a technique for distortion-free MR imaging near metallic implants that creates higher signal-to-noise levels than conventional scans and allows spectral decomposition. The method required very long scan times initially, but he and his team found intriguing solutions for accelerating the scans that enabled in-vivo imaging. Dr. Artz is currently working to optimize neonatal and pediatric imaging settings for a new, low-field, portable MRI that allows bedside imaging.cmhprofilesont:personsuffixperson suffixprns:coAuthorOfcoauthor ofprns:endDateend dateFaculty Rankprns:fullNamefull nameprns:hasAuthorListauthor listprns:hasFacultyRankhas faculty rankprns:hasNetworkhas networkprns:hasPublicationVenuepublished inprns:informationResourceReferenceinformation resource referenceprns:isPrimaryPositionis primary positionprns:latitudelatitudeprns:longitudelongitudeprns:mainImagephotoprns:maxWeightmaximum weightprns:medlineTAjournal title abbreviationprns:meshDescriptorUIMeSH DescriptorUIprns:meshSemanticGroupNameMeSH semantic group nameprns:minWeightminimum weightprns:numberOfAuthorsnumber of authorsprns:numberOfConnectionsnumber of connectionsprns:numberOfPublicationsnumber of publicationsprns:personIdPerson IDprns:personInPrimaryPositionperson in primary positionprns:physicalNeighborOfphysical neighborprns:positionInDepartmentposition in departmentprns:positionInDivisionposition in divisionprns:predicateNodepredicate nodeprns:publicationDatepublication dateprns:similarTosimilar toprns:sortOrdersort orderprns:trainingAtOrganizationeducational organizationprns:trainingLocationtraining locationprns:uniquenessWeightuniqueness weightprns:yearyearAcademic ArticleArticleDocumentbibo:pmidPubMed Identifierbibo:suffixNamename suffixAddressvivo:address1address line 1vivo:address2address line 2vivo:addressCitycityvivo:addressPostalCodepostal codevivo:addressStatestate or provincevivo:authorInAuthorshipselected publicationsvivo:authorRankauthor rank in publicationAuthorshipvivo:degreeEarneddegree earnedDepartmentDivisionvivo:educationalTrainingeducation and trainingEducational Trainingvivo:faxNumberfaxvivo:freetextKeywordkeywordsvivo:hasResearchArearesearch areasvivo:hrJobTitleHR job titleInformation Resourcevivo:linkedAuthorlinked authorvivo:linkedInformationResourcelinked information resourcevivo:mailingAddressmailing addressvivo:majorFieldmajor field of degreevivo:orcidIdORCID idvivo:personInPositionpositionsvivo:phoneNumberphonePositionvivo:positionInOrganizationposition in organizationvivo:preferredTitlepreferred titlevivo:researchOverviewresearch overviewrdf:predicatepredicaterdf:typetyperdfs:labellabelConceptAgentfoaf:firstNamefirst namefoaf:lastNamelast nameOrganizationPersonD008279Concepts & IdeasProcedures361160.924422Magnetic Resonance ImagingD008670Chemicals & Drugs150.994377MetalsD012079PhenomenaPhysiology260.991757Renal CirculationMD, PhDSherwinChanSherwin S.
