The goal of this proposal is to characterize the ontogeny of CYP2D6 activity during pre-adolescence and adolescence. A longitudinal study design allows inter- and intra-individual variability throughout this dynamic period of development to be characterized. Metabolomic approaches will also be employed to explore novel measures of CYP2D6 activity that can be used to guide medication use in this age-group.
