Overview Research Amanda Montalbano, MD, MPH, FAAP, is a general pediatrician in the Division of Urgent Care at Children's Mercy Kansas City. She attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she received her Medical Degree as well as her Master in Public Health, with Honors. She is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Research Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She is a founding co-chair for the Academic Pediatric Association Urgent Care Special Interest Group, and past Chair of Research for the Society of Pediatric Urgent Care and for the Section on Urgent Care Medicine for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Montalbano is one of the leading researchers in pediatric urgent care, managing workgroups across the country publishing research and quality improvement around patient experience and acute care. Her expertise covers large database research, pediatric acute care utilization, benchmarking and survey methodology, and patient experience measurement.
